Catching up…

Just a few little news items to share with you today…

First of all, the 7th May issue of The Big Issue is on sale now. Inside you will find a column written by yours truly, all about my “Top 5 Books Which Expose The Victorian Underbelly.”

I really loved putting this article together and it is certainly something I’ve never been asked to do before. I’d like to thank The Big Issue for their support of me and my Victorian Scandals book!

This morning I had  a lovely chat with The Weekly News, all about The Battered Body Beneath the Flagstones and other Victorian Scandals. The reporter loved the book and it was fabulous to talk to him about the grisly tales of yesteryear! The article will be a double page spread and I’ll keep you up-to-date with the publication date, when I know more.

The Weekly News will also be printing an article about The Girl, which will include a Marilyn cover too. Yay! That will be an even bigger article than the Victorian Scandals one, and I’ll let you know when that appears, as soon as possible. Alan and the team at The Weekly News have been absolutely fantastic to me and my books (including the Carole Lombard book, which they featured last year). It is always a pleasure to speak with them about my projects and their support means a great deal to me.

Thanks to my friend Valerie and my publicist Beth for letting me know that the Daily Express advertised The Battered Body Beneath the Flagstones and other Victorian Scandals at the weekend. This made me very happy indeed!

It is just a week to go before I head to Birkbeck University for my Marilyn event. I’m really excited to take part in the Q&A and discussion, and thanks so much to everyone who has registered so far! If you’d like to come and see me, just click here and you’ll be taken straight to the website, where you can book your free tickets. Yes that’s right, FREE! The event should be finished around 3.30 or 4.00 pm, so if you’d like me to sign any books or just chat for a minute, please come up and say hello. I’d love to meet you.

Finally, if you have read and enjoyed The Battered Body Beneath the Flagstones or The Girl, I’d be so grateful if you could pop along to Amazon/Goodreads etc. and leave a review.  Also it would be wonderful to spread the news about my books on social media, so if you have a selfie of yourself with either book, please consider posting a pic and tagging me in it  – @MMWriterGirl. Thank you!

Until next time,

Michelle x
