A Girl Called Pearl is here!

girl-called-pearl-stashSome copies of A Girl Called Pearl have been delivered to Morgan Mansion!! It looks pretty good, if I do say so myself. Thanks to those people who have ordered signed copies – they will be winging their way to you this week! Thanks to everyone who has ordered from the website too!

The story revolves around Pearl, who is growing up in the 1930s. She has a terrible relationship with her step-uncle; she feels abandoned by her mother; and she eventually lives in an orphanage. However, through everything she goes through; one thing is consistent – her love of actress, Jean Harlow. One day a chance comment by her mother, sends Pearl off on an adventure to meet Jean for herself. Will she succeed? You’ll have to read the book. 🙂

There’s something here for Marilyn fans too – Norma Jeane makes a cameo appearance in the orphanage, and the superintendent is called Mrs. Dewey, in honour of the lady who ran the home during Norma Jeane’s time.
