I always love Easter because the weather is getting nicer (although that’s debatable this year!) and it’s my birthday too! No matter how old I get, I still enjoy celebrating my birthday because I’m always grateful that I have made it this far. Sadly not everyone has that privilege and in the past five months alone, two people from my school year have passed away. So even though the hair may be getting greyer and the wrinkles are gathering, I’m grateful – so grateful – to be here and sharing my life with those I love.
This year’s birthday was one of the best I’ve ever had. I woke up to a wonderful surprise – the good folks on the London Underground had celebrated my day on one of their famous white boards! To say I was astonished would be an understatement. I still can’t believe it!
After a wonderful day filled with family, great presents and beautiful food, I received news that The Girl has arrived at the Running Press office! Eeek! I haven’t received my copy yet but when I do I will put a video on Instagram and link here, just like I did with The Battered Body Beneath the Flagstones and other Victorian Scandals. And talking of Scandals, it is officially published in three days but already it has landed in many Waterstones’ stores, including the flagship Piccadilly store! If you see it please send me a pic, or tag me on Instagram or Twitter (@MMWriterGirl). I’d love to see your photographs!
And talking of places you can buy my book, I’m happy to say that the Kindle and hardback are now available for pre-order on US Amazon. Here is the link.
That’s about all the news I have to share regards my projects, but I’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date in the days and weeks ahead, so stay tuned!
Until next time,
