More news!

So another day and another wave of publicity for The Girl! First of all, the Classic Blondes website has given the book a really stellar review. You can see a snippet of the review on this blog, and to read the rest, just click here. If you’d like to follow the webmasters on Instagram, they can be found here: @thattouchofvintage

By the way, I have been really happy with the support bloggers are giving the book. Everyone so far has enjoyed it and that is something I will never take for granted. If you are a blogger and would like to interview me, please get in touch!

The next piece of publicity comes in the form of an audio interview! Yesterday I had the pleasure of talking to a podcast called Radio Gorgeous (Isn’t that a great name?!). Unbelievably, during the 30 minute skype call, Betty the bichon did not moan, groan or bark; the phone did not ring and the postman didn’t call! I was really shocked! The moment the interview ended, the Wi-Fi went off, a leaflet arrived and Betty went berserk, so it was just flabbergasting that the interview went so well. Thanks to the wonders of technology, you can listen to my appearance right here:

Last but by no means least, I’m thrilled and excited to tell you that an article I wrote on the topic of Marilyn Monroe as a feminist, appears in this week’s issue of The Lady. It is illustrated with some gorgeous Milton Greene photos from an exhibition at the Proud Gallery in  London and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I was commissioned to do the article just days before the deadline, but I needn’t have worried – it turns out that I rather like writing about Marilyn 🙂 and the words just burned right through me! You can pick up a copy of The Lady in all good newsagents and supermarkets. The issue you’re looking for is 11 May. Here’s a video of me finding the magazine in Tesco this morning!

I think that’s everything to report for now, but if you see anything that I haven’t mentioned, please let me know on social media @MMWriterGirl and I’ll report it immediately!

Thanks for all your support!

Until next time,

Michelle x
