Onwards into 2019!

Hello Everyone!

First of all, Happy New Year! I hope that 2019 will be the best year ever for all of us!

Secondly, I haven’t updated my blog for quite some time and the first thing I notice is that the editing format has completely changed. Yikes! I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing, so if this post is all over the place, I apologise!

2018 was a year of incredible career highs, including the publication of The Battered Body Beneath the Flagstones and The Girl; signing to the Sheil Land agency; being published in various magazines including Yours Retro, The Lady and The Big Issue; receiving my first review in The Times and being commissioned to write The Little Book of Marilyn. I realise that I haven’t yet shared the cover for this book, so here it is now. I hope you like it just as much as I do! The book is scheduled to be published in the US and UK in July 2019, and I’m beyond excited for you to see it. I’ve seen the proofs and I am exceptionally happy with the design and layout. It is colourful, informative and lots of fun!

Now that The Little Book of Marilyn is finished (aside from one last look at the proofs), I’m looking forward to the future… I’m still working on the book I started towards the end of 2017, and thanks to some terrific advice from my agent, it continues to evolve. I very much hope to bring you some good news about that soon! I’m also happy to say that all being well, I’ll have two mini (but fabulous!) projects coming my way early this year. I can’t wait to tell you about those in due course.

In other news, I hope to write more articles this year and I’m going to try my hand at some short stories too! I’m also going to try very hard to update my blog on a regular basis, so please keep checking back!

Until then, thank you for all your support during 2018. I appreciate your friendship more than you’ll ever know. If you don’t already follow me on Instagram and Twitter, please consider doing so – I’m @MMWriterGirl on both platforms.

Until next time,

Michelle xx
