Today’s Isolation Diary comes from Svea, who is once again taking us on a lovely trip to the creek.
I hope you enjoy it and as always, please feel free to send me your own diary. 😊 It doesn’t have to be long, and you don’t have to be a writer, either. Just write whatever comes to you, and I’ll do the rest. Contact me if you’d like to take part, and I’ll look forward to hearing from you!
Until next time,
Tales from Isolation Street – Svea
This past week has been fairly pleasant, down by the creek.
One day I was stretching my fingers from my latest crochet project and decided to go outside for some fresh air. I grabbed some peanuts from a bowl on the counter, thinking maybe I could entice a squirrel to come a little closer. As I sat on my patio, I revelled in the peacefulness that has enveloped the area due to the mandatory shelter in place order.
Apparently, the squirrels don’t worry, as they continue to frolic through the grass, nibbling on bits of this and that. Still no deer but the birds grow ever more raucous with each passing day. I put a few peanuts on the ground and low and behold! A cute, little squirrel came right up near my feet! Today, there were three squirrels on my patio. A small flock of quail showed up searching for bugs in the leaves, until a crow scared them off. I’ll have to put something out for the squirrels more often.
Back to my yarn and hook!
See you next week, Svea.
